Sacrificial Anodes

What are Sacrificial Anodes?

Sacrificial anodes are metal components used to protect steel and other metal structures from corrosion. They are fitted to the asset being protected and are designed to corrode in place of the main structure.

In marine and industrial environments, corrosion can occur quickly because of saltwater, moisture and harsh exposure conditions. Sacrificial anodes help reduce this risk by becoming the active metal that wears away first, helping protect the vessel, structure or equipment they are attached to.

Our Anode Products

Sacrificial
Anode Variants

We manufacture aluminium sacrificial anodes for marine, offshore, harbour and industrial applications where reliable corrosion protection is required.

Aluminium Anodes

Aluminium anodes provide lightweight, high-performance cathodic protection for marine and offshore applications where strong current output and long-lasting performance are required.

Zinc Anodes

Zinc anodes are widely used for marine corrosion protection and are commonly applied to vessels, harbour structures and submerged steel components.

Why Sacrificial Anodes Are Used in the Ship and Marine Industry Environments

Marine vessels, offshore structures, pipelines, jetties and submerged steelwork are exposed to constant corrosion risks. Without proper protection, these assets can suffer from structural damage, increased maintenance costs and reduced service life. Sacrificial anodes are used because they provide a practical and reliable method of cathodic protection. They help protect exposed steel surfaces in seawater, brackish water and other corrosive operating environments.

For shipyards, harbour operators, marine engineers and industrial clients, sacrificial anodes form an important part of planned maintenance, corrosion control and asset protection.

Manufactured to Client Requirements

Applications

Sacrificial anodes are used across a wide range of marine, offshore and industrial applications where corrosion protection is essential.

Common applications include commercial vessels, offshore structures, oil rigs, marine civil infrastructure, shipyards, dry docks, jetties, harbour structures, pipelines and submerged steel structures. These environments require dependable anodes that can perform under constant exposure to seawater, moisture and corrosive operating conditions.
